The son of immigrants who came to the United States from the Philippines, Enrico was born in Texas and raised in Washington State. As a teenager, he dreamed of moving to the city to breakdance. He did eventually move to New York City years later after getting a graduate degree in Education from Harvard University to work at a university and discovered his love for another type of dance - the New York style mambo. After a successful career in education, he decided to combine the two and become a dance instructor. He auditioned and joined the Dancing Classrooms program in 2007 and expanded to work with other organizations promoting dance as a healthy addition to a kid's life.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Vilda moved to the United States to obtain her undergraduate degree in International Relations from Boston University before returning to Puerto Rico where she received her law degree. Although she grew up listening to and dancing salsa her entire life, it wasn't until she moved to New York where she met her future husband, Enrico, who convinced her to take formal salsa lessons. She fell in love with the NY mambo style and dances any opportunity she gets. When Vilda is not dancing, she is an attorney focusing on Civil Rights law in New York City.

because of their technique - they are great because of their passion." |
